Open Mic At Marlowe's

Come on down to Marlowe's off Old Alabama Road and join the fun. If you sing and/or play then better yet. We always enjoy new talent. Play covers or play your own material.
If you've never seen "The Chappelle's" (Steve and Gary) then you are in for a treat. They will be playing this week and are ALWAYS a crowd favorite! Once you see them you will understand why. THEY ROCK!
These guys know how to turn up the heat and get the crowd jammin'. To understand why, just listen to their selection of songs...we're talking the Beatles, Stones, Eagles, Bad Company, and so much more...Classic Rock tunes at their best.
If you've been to Open Mics before, then you know that most of the performers do more mellow material ala James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, and such. And while I enjoy that for sure, after awhile I'm looking for something a little more upbeat.And that's why "The Chappelle's" are a welcome change of pace. Never shy about their repertoire, you will find yourself dancing and singing along with the rest of the crowd, and the restaurant help who always come out to enjoy the show when these brothers are on stage.
Now don't get me wrong. These guys know how to croon a great love song too and get the women in a romantic mood. Their rendition of "I Can't Tell You Why" by the Eagles is killer!
So hope to see you there either performing or listening. The fun starts around 8:30 but come earlier and enjoy the food and get acquainted with the regulars who are always ready to share a story or two.
